Mission

The Sycuan Inter-Tribal Vocational Rehabilitation Program (SITVR) provides vocational rehabilitation services to American Indians with disabilities living on or near the 12 consortia reservations of the Kumeyaay Nation, consistent with each individual's strengths, resources, priorities, concerns, abilities, capabilities, interests, and informed choice so that they may obtain, retain, or maintain gainful employment including self-employment, telecommuting, and business ownership.

Examples of disabilities that may be qualifying are learning disabilities, substance abuse (alcohol, methamphetamine, cocaine, heroin), psychological disabilities (depression, major depression, schizophrenia, schizo-affective, etc.); physical disabilities (paralysis, multiple sclerosis, stroke, etc.); traumatic brain injuries, speech problems, hard of hearing or individuals who are deaf, and more. This list is not inclusive, and your personal circumstances may vary.
